Batman Party

My son requested a Batman party for his 4th birthday.   Here are some photos of the craftier parts of the party...

Chocolate frosted two layer cake (sis in law's recipe) with fondant batman...

What Batman party is complete without a visit from the man himself?...

The favors were capes & masks tied up with "pow" and "bam" tags...

I made a bunch of centerpieces from Batman pictures attached to balloon weights... it was still too windy and they kept falling over...

Giraffe Party

My youngest son Jack turned one and we celebrated with a Giraffe-themed party...

I made the cake for him, two sheet cakes with the top one cut into a giraffe head shape I liked... then just regular frosting tinted the color I liked and some sprinkles for pizazz...

I made him a birthday shirt out of felt cut out and adhered to the shirt with pellon transfer...

To decorate the fireplace, a banner in animal print saying "Jack's First Birthday"...

We also did a smaller party with his playgroup friends.   For this party I made muffins and frosted them and added sprinkles... no complaints from the kids!
